    Default 3ds max material problems

    I have a problem with materials on Autodesk 3ds max. When i add the material on an object it looks fine when on horizontal surface. But when it's on a vertical surface it's not working the way it should.
    Example:

    anybody got any ideas?

    They are way too strectched. I am not a max person, more of maaya, but i can see those textures are stretched to hell, did you unwrap it? o what do you do to texture in maya?
