Eye digital painting
I got a graphics tablet today and came up with this. What do you think for my first try?

its good but very rough. when i first learned to use a graphic tablet i really learned by tracing. Get a picture of an eye and trace it. you'll see little details you've never noticed before, like how the color of irises kindof radiates from the pupil, and how the bags under your eyes work, or how eyelashes kindof make triangles. you're really seeing some of the 3D qualities, and i can tell you're working on shading but you've really gotta just go at it. The hardest part of shading for me is not getting enough. Don't be afraid to make shadows ranging from pure black to bright white.
the eyebrow is particularly hairy O.o and a little close to the eye
the shading of the eyeball itself is really good, you can tell its a sphere and you get the idea that its really sunken into the socket.
one big thing about tablets is working with a bigger canvas. now that you're really getting into creating, you need to break out of the sig-sized canvases. Go for 1000x1000 pieces, or larger. You can get WAYYY more detail out of every little aspect, and working with a tiny canvas like a 400x250 can be very limiting when you're drawing, mainly because you lose so much detail to the pixels. its much nicer to have a 500x500 pixel eye vs a 100x100, because then you can really add tones to the shines in the eyes, or really show the origin of every single eyelash.
you're doing a great job, keep up the good work and just keep experimenting! drawing with a tablet is so different from using renders, but (i personally think) it's a lot more fun!

Very good for a first go. Eyebrows a bit low though.

Thank you very much for the tips
