    wtf is feather?

    How do you do it?

    (we all gota learn sometime and it seems like im missing some fundamental shit here)

    Get out the lasso tool, cut around the area you want, right click and feather. It helps a render (or whatever) blend in.
    I aint the best at photoshop but think thats correct

    He's got it about right. Or you can go to the top menue then go selection>feather or for the lazy of us just hit control + alt + d. Hope that helped

    Feathering helps blend a render against another image/background.

    Feather, is like everyone else said, a function in photoshop to smooth out a selection by gradually increasing the percentage of a selection from the outer edge inward.

    But feather can refer to alot of things. Anytime someone says feather it, they mean soften the edges. simple as that.

    I don't understand .. . .. . I went to select all on the correct layer and then tryed to pres select feather and I couldn't ...

    make sure you're working in the RGB color mode, and that's...about...all i can think of.
