A little too much contrast on the render, and the render doesn't really fit in with the BG color wise. try working on the colors a bit. and also you might want to brush the render red in some spot and set it to screen or linear dodge to make the red light balls a bit more realistic. I also think the main light-source could have been executed a bit better.

Colors are okay, imo. But the light coming from the bottom is a bit too bright. It hurts my eyes, and throughout my years of gfx, I've built up a tolerance to that. So you know its a bit too much, lol.

Squiggles are a nice touch.
