First off I would just like to thank everyone, I feel like since I came here I have gotten a lot better. I know I still have a long way to go to get up to where you guys are, but here's my latest.

i quite like this one, tho 2 focals are bit wierd :S but its nice.

your compo is ok. The silhoutte on the right creates double focal. Try to remove it, or adjust a bit. Like you can use displace on it. Or some clipping masks. And i think your render is too small. hence this causing a lot of negative space on the tag. And no text definitely. Btw try to add some different colored bubbles or stuff to make it more lively. i agree with above comments... maybe use blur on second focal OR... this is weird but if u put him over the other shoulder and brought him in closer and maybe flipped him horizontally he could actually work as a light source

Here is a v2. I switched the dragon around and tried to make it act as a light source.

I'll try to be short and to the point. Your color scheme is pretty boring, you should use some other colors too so it will be more interesting to the eye. The composition is pretty good. That thing on the left is dragging my eye away from the blue guy, so basically there are 2 focals. Try to avoid that and make the blue guy stand out more. Blending is nice. You have too much negative space. That's all I could think of. Good job!

I'd remove the the focal of the dragon you have there, it's extremely distracting my friend .

What I believe you should do is really bring in some bright tones to this because it is quite flat.
By brightening it up with better and organized FX, it'll create better lighting, atmosphere and overall a better appeal.
That's my suggestion as of now, try it out !
