Early morning at the lakes

After finishing my last ever university assignment, me and my friend went out to celebrate. After clubbing we decided rather than calling it a night, we'd go to the lakes and watch the sun rise. Here's a snap i took at about 4:30am, such a lovely place to be in summertime. Also, I think I captured it quite well considering how much i'd had to drink

I love the way the rays of the sun beam over the trees and all the reflection in the water Very pretty! Especially considering :P

Haha, "considering th amount I'd had to drink"! Love it!

But In my opinion the colors are a bit cold. Even the trees got a tad of blue'ish. So the whitebalance could be adjusted a bit.

yeah i agree with you. My camera was still set for studio shooting and I didnt have a grey card with me to set the white balance properly. I added a warming filter on photoshop to counteract the blue a bit but honestly I didn't like it. Its not a natural shot I know, but I wanted to emphasis the colour... it actually wasn't far off this blue at 4 am lol
