    saw a simple planetary tutorial that apparently originated from these boards, used it and modified it to achieve slightly better results.

    the planet is in pretty low quality... the trick is to make a huge planet than downsize it to maximise detail... I'd make the stars in clusters in stead of evenly placed throughout the image... I also would have used a different lens flare... but besides that the nebulas are pretty cool & its good for a first attempt...

    u should have put the lighiting of the plant on another side cuz u can only c
    about 25% of the planet

    I think it's a little blurry when it comes to the texture. Try using a High-Res texture, make one yourself of find one at DevArt

    I agree with Ryzee on the details, however the textures were indeed from deviant art, it might be from the related problem that Ryzee mentioned. Now on the lighting i have to say that it was intentional and i quite like the effect of most of the planet shrouded.

    Edit: Would you recommend any textures in particular Shajn?

    Bottom half of planet doesn't blend.

    Its to menny stars and the piece where the planets dark spott is there u shuld take away all the stars so that the planet melts into the pic... but otherwise: gd job!!
