doens't the \x mean hexidecimal? and thus wouldn't the 01A4 thus mean 420?
but i would have thought that there should be three sets of 8 bit numbers, not 2 sets, thus there is information missing. however if you presume that there is a 00 after the 01a4, thus the colour would be 01a400, which happens to be green.

oh thats clever
if idve known about the hexadecimal, i wouldve figured

its more used by web developers. \x000000 syntax can be used for html/javascript i beleive. Also you can type in the hexidecimal in PS when you go into the color selector, have a gander down the bottom. of course you have to drop the \x, its just the numbers
god i love being a geek!

Well...420 is pretty much the national Marikuana day, and that is green.
So many meanings.

ye i know what one is, i just dont know it in java
its not in html, at least i dont think it is, and if it is, you dont need to use it

\x isn't a java thing. but generaly an x before a number nomaly means its hex. in java you can go x0a70 to represent a number. I think the \x syntax is a html/css/javascript thingo, but not 100% certain.

I've never seen \x before. The only time I use hex in CSS/XHTML is when reffering to colors in which case it's simply #xxx
