i think look more pleasing if u add color with in the out line of the drawing but for right now bud looks unfinished to me, but not a bad start kiu .

Your lines need to improve weight wise. And also colour inside your objects rather than using a bg behind them, trust me, it's worth the extra effort.
Check out this guy's da :

Thanks.
Scrib, your art is a great inspiration to me. Can you explain what's wrong with the lines? I didn't fully understand. I agree about the coloring, it might look better if I color my objects seperately but I was trying something new this time and used watercolor textures. And it's really hard to deal with textures in Illy so I just snapped them behind the lines. It kinda gives a surreal feeling so I think it didn't turn out that bad after all. Anyway, it's difficult to make this watercolor stuff with textures, a mouse and Illy. Or maybe I just need some parctice...

live trace them textures and mix shit up etc. yeah line weights are a problem here too. you need to get the thickness better in your lines

That looks great, but it could have been super fancy!
The one bg over the whole thing confuses the whole picture and there's just too much going on behind to notice the great drawing you did :/
I love the drips you did and I think you were on the way towards something special...then you tossed that water color on there O.O
The lines are fine and will really pop out without the watercolor bg. Next time try a more nuetral bg, like a dirty paper, and put perhaps a water color texture in his face, a different one in his hair, etc. Just never one for everything.
Oh, and no more triangles! Dunno why everyone is doing that >.<
Oh, and, when dealing with most textures it is usually a good idea to sharpen the outcome to better match things. Just doing that would've helped a bit =)
Good job =D
