LQ Avatars?
Is there any reason why I uploaded my avatar and it rendered rather terribly?
Here's the original;

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
-
Most lightly it's the size limit.
Try this, I rezised it for you.
-
Autoresize, the void despite being a graphics community has the smallest avatars possible
-
Much appreciated enable.
It's better but still LQ, I'm guessing this is the best you can get?
Strange.

"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 5.0 KB"
Your first image is 100 x 100 pix and 19,65 kB.
The one enable resized is 13,37 kB.
I usually make my avatars 79 x 79 pix and to override the 5kB limit I always upload it to imageshack and use the url link for my avatar. Using the url instead doesn't make it LQ.
Hope that helps

After about 20 tries, I finally got it.
Didn't realize there was a kB limit, altered it a bit to fit under the 10kB limit. (I'm guessing it changed from 5kB overnight? Haha.)
Thanks for the help regardless, it's appreciated.

This is one thing that always disappointed me.
Glad you got it, I guess just using small avatars is the trick c:
-
Part of the reason I have yet to pick an avatar. It seems that the image I save never looks right when it's chosen as my avatar. Resizing does help, but the images are usually so small that the detail is often lost anyway.
The resized avatar looks pretty good though. The original is a bit better naturally, but we get the idea
