Which is Better Illustrator or Photoshop?
Hello...im new to the graphic design arena. So far I've only worked with Photoshop, but am contemplating whether or not I should also invest in Illustrator?

It all depends on what you want to use it for.
I almost exclusively work with Illustrator because I love the pen tool, and use it the most for all of my art. The photoshop pen tool is quite limited in what it can accomplish, and I like the fact that I can scale my art to any size I want without limitations.
Now, if you want to work on manipulations, or digital painting like Kodybell, then photoshop is the program you want to use.
Figure out what style you love to work with, and use the program that is designed for it.
Commissions and stickers available via linktree here.

They are both almost completely different things. As you probably know Photoshop is primarily a tool for editing photo's, however due to its many features and ability to combine those its often used for more complex things (like sig making for example).
Illustrator on the other hand is primarily a vector program, allowing you to create custom shapes that don't lose their quality when magnified or zoomed out. Obviously combining many many of these shapes creates the awesome Illustrations you see.
Personally I think its worth having both, especially since its extremely useful to use them both in combination.

One of the sexiest tags I've ever seen, from Radillac ↓ <3

It all depends on what you would like to do. Illustrator and Photoshop are similar but at the same time they are really different programs.

Basically what Pet said. Two completely different programs.

I've always used photoshop 90% of the stuff i've made; but i do wish i could learn Illustrator or atleast familiar myself with it.
As for which is better, personally i feel it depends on what the task at hand is..
