Event Flyer

Not sure if this belongs in this thread (sorry if it doesn't)

back story:

Was on facebook one day and a picture came across my feed from a friend, i thought "hey that's a good pic, can def make a flyer out of it! wonder why his pic is there" (said picture was of Travie McCoy, a singer/rpper...been on the radio) anywho after reading/figuring out why his picture was on my friends feed thing i found out about an event going on that weekend. I made a flyer (at this point no one asked me too) and sent it to the event's facebook page just to get my name out there sorta and hopefully get them to come ot me next time they have an event. They eneded up really liking it. They gave me 2 free tickets for both days and asked me to do another one for day 2 featuring they're headlining band, i happily did it =P so ya that's the back story, heres the flyer(s)

oh need to mention some of the logogs on the bottom are a bitt "off" that's cause i couldn't get the .png .eps etc file so i pulled em off google,facebok, anywhere i could find them

Ok, this idea just popped into my head the first flyer you could make the background larger so that there isnt a rectangle of black or you could do some cool smudge with water color and some of the colors from the lights that are being reflected. (this all being just in the area behind the artist portrayed in the flyer

yea, i didn't notice that black rectangle was so noticeable until i moved it to my other monitor, was designing it on my tv/computer montior and on my other (comp only) monitor it seems everything is brighter. i was like "wtf is that and that and that!?" but they still likd it even with it's flaws XD but yea smudging it wouldave been a nice touch
