So I'm trying to work on my Depth, Lighting, and Flow because they can all make or break a piece.

The top is good, but the bottom is too hectic and without flow. It's alright to contradict the flow of a piece if it adds some spice, but this time it had the opposite effect. Maintain the downward-right flow and maybe blur/sharpen a bit more to create some depth and contrast. In BnW some details become more important/obvious and contrast/depth are some of them.
