Hm, this has reminded me that I need to fool around with Terragen some more hehe.

The grass isn't too convincing, and the foreground on the first one seems kind of blurry.

i totally 100% agree with vicebeach, doesnt require any graphical skills or anything, i dont think bfg u should name it himalayans or give it a border u actually do something with it
i just a while ago got terragen, and i expected it to be a bit like a 3d program but it appeared that its just clicking/brushing your map  but its a nice program

To actually make your own scene it takes a lot of skill. If you actually know how you want it to turn out and stuff then it takes more like technical skill and smarts than graphical skill. The best terragen stuff i've seen is when people use a multitude of progs to make an entire scene. The best one i've seen was awesome, i forget where it was, but it was like a bunch of valleys and crevasses made in terragen, purely beautiful landscape, and spacecraft speeding through the ravines, then a beautiful spacescape above it. All in all the guy used terragen, photoshop, and c4d to do everything. Turned out freaking beautiful.
