Apophysis help

okay so i've seen some of the work Rabieshund and others have done with Apophysis and i would like to learn how the program works and how to go about learning to use it. i have never heard of the program before so any information about it would be appreciated. would anyone knowledgeable care to give me a basic run-through of the program or even point me in the direction of some quality beginner tutorials?
