not enough contrast from highlights to shadows, the colours could be a tad better, and the hair should be vector, not cartoonish like that.

Also, you didnt use any curves, try working with those next time.

Nice for your first vector, but I have to agree with undertone.

Did you check out my Basic Pen Tool Tut?

It should help you understand the pen tool better, so the different shades don't have to be so jagged.

Heh, it's okay for a first, good on you for not just doing the cutout filter though, good job. All you need to do is understand the pen tool a bit better then you'll be going good. I also recommend you get Illustrator, it's much better for vectors and vector-based work.

For shading, your most valuable friend is opacity, modify the opacity of "shading" shapes and it'll blend much better. As for the hair, more detail is needed, hair is the most difficult part in a vector i find. All you need is patience and then you'll fly through.

Nice job for your first though, kudos to you.

    i think its ok

its a bit too dark and has too bright of highlights

and add more than 1 color / shade to the hair

its nice vector. it still could do some more little work. and yeah like undertone said. you need more curves. and the ladys smile is really creepy :P.

Very nice vectoring, but the cheeks look rather "chubby" You might wanna rethink the bottom half of her face.
