top is boring, there isnt a point you can concentrate on, and its all one color and too busy, planet at bottom isnt that good and render is horrifying

u know, u might wanna give some pointers if u think it totally sucks.
so whats so horrifying about the render cuz its kinda easy to change.
and thats my 2nd attempt at spaceart ever.
and my first terraspace ever.
and my fourth terragen render ever.

edit: and dick, thats my fav font

sorry, i always do that

now for the pointers and good things

-its VERY good for first space
-the nebs look pretty cool, apart from one that looks like drop of water
-you put alot of effort in
-next time, on the render, show more of it, maybe 1/3 of piece, and have some surface map on there, and some interesting terrain
-try to make the transition between sky and space smoother, and have some black in there, make it realistic
-i like the texture on the top planet, it has a cool looking thing that looks like a building on it

- The planet is flat, spherize it.
- The explosions and the stars on the top are too vivid, that doesn't look realistic.
- The blending between the top and the boddom could've been better.
- The terragen render is a bit boring.
- The border is really bad, it looks unprofessional.

great now that some1 digged up only and just the bad spots, everyone else starts doing the exact same

and the planets not flat ur way off
and im not going for realism, its not supposed to look like a photograph. <_<
and what exactly is so bad about that border. im not a professional, btw.

i will try to fix the blending&the terragen render, but now im going to sl33p.

keep the cc coming.

See, now when you ask for C&C, you really need to accept it. And I think the top is way to saturated, but seeing your other stuffthat seems to be your style (Or maybe that is MinorThreat with the saturated orange/red grunge?).

The mountains don't exactly look so great. They just seem to stop. I understand that mountains do just stop in real life, but I just can't put my finger on what doesn't look so great.

But definately change the border, it lookd spretty bad. Just take out the white lines, that would look better.

And the Planet does looks pretty flat, did you only spherize it 50%? Do it again.

And the absolute last, and probobly the most important - did you make the nebulas? Or did you just use a premade brush? It looks like a brush, and using premade brushes for stuff like this is worse than filter-whoring in my oppinion.

But other than those little things, it does look good. Its just a bunch of little things that bother me, no really big things other than the planets looking sort of flat.

The terragen bit of it isn't that good, sorry to say, all it is, is a regular bit of mountinous land, try changing texture or colour and adding water and effects. Check out makibirds entry for OC5 try blending something like that into your space scene. Dont rip hers tho, I don't think you will anyway.

Well I like the terragen render, it doesn't have to look exciting or flashy, I agree that the the sky and the space could be blended more.

The thing you need to work on most though is the space scene. It's too flashy, it's a bit bright, and there's too much happening. Dim it down a little, and it should look really good.

For just starting this genre so to speak, you're learning extremely fast. Keep up the good work man.
