Ok, so I decided I wanted a new laptop that could be a possible desktop replacement. I went to Alienware's site to check out there laptops. I customized it and all, and it ended up coming to like $3500. I've yet to find a laptop that can compare to it in performance. The closest is one from HP, but lacks a few necessities I want. So this is where you guys and gals can help me. I only know of Alienware for customizing computers. I've found other sites using Google but never heard of them. I plan on getting a high end laptop, and I want it from a company that's known for quality and performance. Any of you know of any companies that can come close to competing with Alienware?

I wish I could help out a bit - but the only company I know of that offeres powerful desktop replacments would be HP (and I suggest you avoid them at all costs, I have had a bad experience with it).

If you want, I suggest you check out eBay for 'custom laptops' - and im sure you will find many people offering powerful, and cheaper laptops. Good luck - sorry I couldnt provide enough help!

EDIT: www.cyberpowersystem.com has pretty cheap custom computers, check it out bro.

I checked out the cyberpowersystem.com and ebay. I found a few, but they all end up being pretty identical component wise and price wise. Looks like I might just stick with Alienware cuz I know more about them the the others.

The closest one from Voodoo performance wise to the Alienware I was looking at is $1200 more. Nice notebook, but even higher priced than Alienware.
