Is it worth me working on it anymore or is it a lost cause?

Colour scheme can be changed with a simple hue/saturation alteration layer.

It's well worthy of the time, As long as you go through and code the thing instead of leaving it as a .psd template or just sliced.

Looks like something I'd see done in flash.

It has alot open fields, like inte the "News, about us, articles" menu. That makes it look like you placed the text a bit random. The positioning of the text should not be rushed, I'd say go through it again, repositioning the text. Text that looks like it "belongs" in the corner shouldn't be placed to far out - then the positioning just seems random. You gotta do something with the menu I was talking about. It's too empty. That's IMO the biggest problem right now, so see what you can do about it! Try to add more details or more text. Alot text on a pretty tight page often looks good. I also think that the two middle boxes should be wider, so it fills the page.
So, the thing you should concentrate on is to make the page look more tight with bigger text fields. I like the colors, but maybe you should change the main color to some dark grey or something to make it stand out a little more.
    Hope that helped. :P

It's alittle too soft. Strenghthen the text, reduce the size of the glows and shadows.

It looks really really good. I would deffinetly stop to read the content on a website like that.

np, Don't give up on this one. It's very good. I really like the way you have it laid out.
