The only think I have a problem with is the circle in the middle. It's suppost to be a floating ball of water.
1. It doesn't really look 3D
2. I can't get it transparent but still clearly visible.
Can someone help me out? lol

I know... you can't see the render well because the stupid unspherical orb is in the way. It is an obstruction of my signature.
As for the Fractal's, they were supposed to be mist... lmao. They look stupid, I agree.

Hey, blitzball. You're a FF fan too?
Anyway... moving swiftly on. I run a mutant roleplaying board. That is my character. He is hydrokienetic. And the sqherical ball of water is just supposed to be him... levatating it.

i can't remember everything but here it goes.
1) make your sphere any color, i used black, and set fill to 0.
2)go to blending options, select gradient overlay and doubleclick this: http://2.eagleimg.com/10/01172.jpg
and do your gradient like so http://2.eagleimg.com/10/01173.jpg
1. click in this general area and there will be a tab for you to click for opacity, set it to 0.
2. move this black tab over to right a bit. click ok
set your angle to 45 degrees
3)create a new blank layer below the sphere layer, select the sphere layer and hit ctrl+e to merge down. now duplicate this layer.
4) use the top most layer and use the magic wand tool to select the empty space around the sphere, no hit ctrl+i. right click the rectangular marquee tool and select the sphere marquee tool and select this button right below the menu bar. http://2.eagleimg.com/10/01174.jpg
no patch it up little by little so it will look as perfect as possible
5) go to filter/distort/twirl... selet either +999 or -999 depending on the direction you wan the swirl, i forget which one i selected. now hit ctrl+e and merge the twirl layer with the sphere layer.
6) hit ctrl+u and select the "colorize" check box and use hue = 221, saturation = 63, and lightness = +18.
hope this came even close to the result you wanted, if not try going back through ina similar manner and just do minor adjustment, especially on the hue.

Thankyou. I haven't got time to try it out now because i'm in the UK and it's currently 32:31 but I'll try it out tomorrow and show you what I get.
Thanks again.
Damn, the tutorial didn't work for me. Nevermind, I'll keep playing around. I will get a realistic water ball... eventually. Thanks anyway
