Trustworthiness - if a friend doesnt have that they can never be a good friend to me.
well there are a few things, trustworthlyness and 1more witch i like to call loyal, so say not stab you in the back as i apose

I would say loyal probably. Or honest, that way, even though they might stab you in the back, they would warn you about it :p
Make loyal and trustworthy. I hate people who say they are going to do something and then do something else.
a good quality would be someone who talks trash behind your back all the time and spreads all your dirty secrets... wait i mean *cough* in all truth the best quality a friend could have would be joy/happiness. it's lightening when your friend(s) can remain happy in the worst situations and keep the mood up and always keep a smile on your face. thats just the way i personally feel, becuase if you consider happiness has one of them they wouldn't want to make you unhappy by stabbing you in the back or lieing to you.
Well I'd say both loyalty/trustworthiness as well, but any relationship also has to be mutual.
My best friend of 7 years moved away this summer and there are many reasons as to why we've been friends so long, but the most important one is that it's a mutual relationship. We're both into the same things, we've both been playing StarCraft since 4th or 5th grade, we both played street hockey after school every day for almost a year, we both did a lot of things together that we both enjoyed doing. There are many trustworthy and loyal people out there, and be friends with them too, but there's always a couple people who you'll have the time of your life with, and those will usually be your closer friends.
lolz they are ganna be like, one day come up to up ok im ganna stab you in the back then the guy turns around and his friend stabs him 6 or 7 times, they will do it when your not looking/ if you guys no what i mean by that meaing
