well I used the pen tool and a lot of beveling lol I was attempting to get a menu bar but didn't turn out that well :P what ya think though

at firsrt i thought it was a cup..as in one of those athletic things lol But then i read your description, and if you do a simple layout like all those ipod-based ones (as in clean, white, bevelled shiny buttons) i think it could work really well.
to many levels in it. If you were to have just the top grey with no white (i am sorry if this is confusing cus i don't know what exactly to call it) around it. I think it would look much better. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys for the comments I'll see what I can do CrazyGamer.
looks a tada pixelated on the left, which is strange because you used the pen tool, try and fix that. also, the shine should end before the edge of the img to give it some sort of a 3D look. keep working on it. :)
