top one is better for sure, dont like the blue lighting in the second one, also the second one is just too dark. i cant tell but did you put a border on the first one? anyway, text is decent in the first one, but in the second one the outer glow stands out too much. not bad, but your current is alot better.
i see you say you're a noob at ps, well do some of the tuts provided elsewhere in this site. It would help you out alot,as far as the sigs, they are way too dark. Also dont get too much in a habit of using patterns, but gj and keep trying
