Blog?

What is the point of a blog? Occasionally I stumble upon one just too find its some random person rambling about their life and their problems. Yet many people I know still want too start a blog of their own.

I've found 1 or maybe 2 blogs that share useful information and/or are intresting too read. Though people actually SPEND 1-10 dollars a month for one, Buy a damn Journal/Diary. Its no different, But it's sure as hell is cheaper (And perhaps those servers can be used for something useful, such as gaming) , So I ask you whats the point?

Well some blogs get a following. just ask that washington lass who blogged her sexual habits in the capital of America. ended up getting her sacked.

Or there is the Airline Hostess who posted some pics on her blog of herself in her uniform in sexy poses on one of the planes, she got sacked.

Then there are quite a few in coporate amercia who have been sacked because they said things which crossed the line as being something to say about people at work.

but other than the above, bloggin can be quite good for community or family groups. Normaly someone with a flair or talent for humour and writing are the ones who are successful at it. Also it is free, but unfortunatly there is the issue of losing it all from a server crash, or the owner of the blog provider having rights over the content.

I have a blog as part of msnmessenger, but i don't realy use it, would rather talk to someone. Also a lot of what i would want to post would get me in trouble with either my employer or my partner !

I have a blog myself. I own a server for my family to use for whatever inter-family things they want. But there's tons of space and bandwith left so I use it as my blogspace.

Blogging is great therapy for some. You can write down what you think and feel, but unlike a journal people actually see it which is theraputic. And you can get feedback. It's a way of indirect communication.

Most importantly a blog isn't about impressing you. If it was they'd have your name on it. My blog is for me, and for the people that like what I have to say. If you're not interested in it, then don't read it. The free exchange of thoughts and ideas is for everyone and noone in particular.

i see only one point in having Blog : Sharing your opinions with other people .

I have a blog....but i dont use it. I'd much rather write poetry. But thats just my way of getting it out.

Why you be hatin' on the bloggers :(

Jk, I have a blog, it is a great way to express one's feelings. Also a way for people to have a look at all the randomness of my brain.

i like to have a blog because it helps me get some things off my brain and so forth.
i suck at writing so a diary isn't a great idea. i made a blog basically for other people but more myself.

i know people want to know what goes on in my head, so why not share it.

Most of americas law enforcement is a bunch of hoo-haa anyhow :lol: some things i hear about people doing things so stupid and getting fired, or imprisoned is at the brink of hilarious...

as for blogging most people find it stupid infact i did at once... oh one of the most contradictory blogs is that of maddox he hates them and yet his site is infact a blog but discreetly exclosed with rants about things that occur in his life... which is rather funny :lol:

i have a blog... fucked if i knew the URL ... heck my blogs probably not even there now. :lol:

I guess its to update people about your life, or express your views. Its a way for the private citizen to publish their ideas and have an audience. A new blog is created about every 3 seconds.

I made a simple one (located at http://www.tacox.info). It's not really focused on blogging though - I don't update often.
