Try making a Brightness/Contrast Layer. It's a cool idea, it's just too dark imo.

It needed some more brush work to make the eye appear blended in rather then just sticking out.

looks cool how its all dark and stuff like that, what I dont like is that its too long and makes it seem more empty.

Very nice man i like it...it looks very great to me, i think you shoulc keep it how it is.
