Hey I'm new to photoshop and i have come up with this my first Signature. Any usefull hints or tips would be much apprectiated.

not keen on the font or the size of the font ..make it a bit smaller and try some brushing on your BG ..but for a first its not bad ..my first few really sucked looking at them now :)

You should give it a 1 pixel black border, and every other sig you make.
i liked the first one more without the lens flare.
And you just have to try different fonts and text styles, theres no specific one for every kind of background.
MY first one wasnt any better than that one, just keep doing them.
Thanks the commets were very usefull and i ended up with this though its far from perfect i feel its an improvement on what i had before.. though i may be completely wrong lol. Feel free to add comments on this one as well.

It looks very good for a first, A few things I would do include a 1 pixel black border (Which I see you already added), NEVER Use cursive fonts, They always end up choppy and just plain ugly,A good sig size is around 320-105, and use a better render man, no idea what that is.

I don't like it, but it is a good attempt for your first try. Well done. :)
Great comments because now I have rendering and brushing affects to learn about wich i would not have bothered to look into otherwise :o So good critic guys
