Hey, I don't know which one to use, I have both and hear that 2000 has a better stablility than XP but I hear XP is better for security.

Well if your a gamer defenetly XP. gaming companys have tested both and most games run better and output more FPS while running under XP.
window XP, if you are in a net work or in a office sharing data/file with others. is the best, make it easier on you
Windows XP over Windows 2000 for several reasons. The most important one you should consider - Windows XP was built with the stability of Windows 2000 in mind. In fact, I feel that XP is actually more stable than 2k.
Also, Windows XP is more compatable with more programs today.

XP...has the POTENTIAL of getting hacked in while you are online...
I know that was a factor for the first models that came out.
And I'm sticking to it...
If you have Win 95-98 and u get 2000..then that is VERY familar.
But XP did a complete 180 compared to 2000.
Alot of changes and differnt things to it.
So you kinda gotta learn a new system.
Overall I would stick with Win 2000 if you got it.
Definetely windows 2000. Simply the best windows ever made.
i believe that windows xp r the best..windows 2000 r not as good as xp
