I realise the edges are jagged but I can't get around that. IF anyone has a solution, feel free.

I don't like it... I can't tell what the photo is anymore...

for smooth edges, select the outer edge & there's a smooth option under the select or selection menu & delete it... thats should work...

Looks rather horrible to me :S It looks like an overlay layer, a lot of smudging and maybe a filter... You have quite a bit to improve.

I was trying to make it a bit more abstract so not being able to tell what the photo is anymore would be a good thing.
