Looks good. I'm not a fan of the wood look, but you put it to good use right here. Great job, I'll visit when you're done.

mmm not fan opf the woodwork either..the overal doesn't give the me feeling your a graphic designer. if i made a portfolio i would make the layout very creative... but thats just me.

simplicity can be very good though, just think this is a little to simple..

seeing this makes me want to make my own portfolio:D

I don't think the design is too simple, just that background. I'm sure you could come up with something better than the woodwork. Just work on it and repost, I want to see what you come up with.
