the last two are definatly far to dark for my poor little eyes, cant really see whats going on there. not fun to look at when the brain has to fill in the gaps. top one looks the best imho, but it feels like theres an emptyness in these images... like a lack of soul or something. maybe smoother shadows/ highlights, maybe less reflectivity? not sure, but it just feels too unreal. good stuff though, like the shapes and themes that you have in there, just they could be developed further.

the first 2 look sweet but the others dont tickle my fancy... just curious, how old are you? you seem like you're becoming quite successful with this?

Fair comments indeed, these were mostly concept pieces to begin with - start the juices flowing which did develop and become something very different both with; as I developed the idea and learned Max at the same time. On a personal note I still like the emptiness in them as it stands, the bits your mind fills in. I'll of course agree they are very simple in hindsight but looking back weirdly interesting still I thought.
I'm 29 been at this for 6 years, mostly photoshop based designer, I took up Max about 2 years ago then dropped it for a long time as I had no professional use for it and learning the application itself was time consuming. Its a powerful tool and I can achieve some really good photo realistic work with it but the amount of time I got to invest to get anything that good was insane - I've only just started using it again and fear it might win me over this time - super geek style lol
