I have always loved reading this essay, because it is so TRUE. How the media controls our lives, and how those who are "normal" tend to blame the world's wrong on those who are individual and speak for themselves. Amazing commentary on our sad society. Even today, almost seven years later, it holds true.

It also show that Manson is not the mindless devil worshiper everybody makes him out to be. In fact HE IS NOT EVEN SATANIC. He is a smart person, and I think it's a common misconception.

Manson really is smart. I watch all his interviews and everything, and he's made some good points.

marylin manson, despite all the bad media about him... is one of the most influencial person to me.. i've seen interviews i've read biographies online and stuff ... and he is a very very smart person .. many people say they hate him and what not but that's there views, he doesn't show much on the side of being visually or thoughtfully appealing to many but that's what makes him a better person for not wanting everyone to like him :)

He was at one point openly Satanic, you can read about it in his Autobiography. I despise his music, but he is kind of a cool guy.

I find him creepy. He is fairly smart, though.
