I would probably add a funky border or sumthin to spice it up a bit more.

It's good since it's your first one. But I don't really like that you've mixed edgy and round objects. Goo work on the bg and some quite simple lines, the textcolor fits, I'll give it a 7.9/10 since it's your first one, keep it up!
I like it. It does need a border, i think you should try a 1px or a 3px border. It would look really nice with one of those IMO. Anything else will take away from the BG because it's only 100px high.
Try this but make it a two pixel, thatd look nice. If you dont know what numbers to change to make it 2 pixel then ask me Id be glad to help, but you should find it easy.
