wrote some new lyrics that i'm using in a song.
once my band gets our demo recorded i'll put up some songs
with no shadow behind me. i'm humming old tunes, feeling empty. i'm sure you've felt it before and i know its in our heads. no matter how hard we try, our lives are what we make it. so wheres my trophy? i've sure got my scars locked behind these bars. tormented and tortured by my own doubt. its getting hard to look up when i'm held down, face down . just another face in the crowd of population 26,009. i won let my last fine breaths go useless. this land is beat down, plowwed and pummeled and my heart is homegrown. in this field of ghosts i'm all alone. i'm torn by past, present, and whats ahead. my hands are tied, but i'm still not dead. will i make it out? for such flat ground its sure easy to fall. i can see for miles but theres not much to see. my victories they lie within me, optimism is the one and only key.

I like it. Has a lot of feel to it, I can imagine this being a tune like Reinventing Your Exit by Underoath. Very nice man, thanks for sharing. I want to hear some tunage, get those up.

Yeah great stuff, might work better as kind of a poem on the end of a song that some bands like fallout boy use once in a while. It just seems it will be hard to find a rythm for it.

haha yea i started it as just a poem and then listened to a crappy home recording of one of our songs (just instrumental) and i made it all work out
