I'm kind of a noob when it Comes to posting images so holler if the Link Doesn't Work.

Anyway, this is my first Showcased Pic. It's just a sun that I slapped in with a space background :P
I made this from a tutorial, and I hope it's okay... well.... decent anyway. :mellow:

So feel free to flame/critique/own me if the pic is at all bad or sucky, I just need FeedBack! :lol:

its nice man but there are 2 things i dont like.
1. the planet has little to no texture
2. the edges of the fireball look a bit pixelated.

Other than that its quite nice actually, good job

So i have no texture eh, and i need to unpixelate the Firebal/Explosion Pic. Okay, I'll try.

instead of dark black spots, white light like it is exploding is ideal

try replacing the black with white

and also try making a custom pattern overlay that is roughly (500x500) in size to make it more "textured" (well detailed.)

Looks good, i dont even know how to make something like your first pic yet, hopefully with these tuts i will get better

Much better, also try to use a eroded earth/sand picture as a base to make a good explosion.
I like it, now just fix black spots and we will see.

Now if only it had some flames going of around the edges. Then i would like it and maybe even say it was good. But it looks like it was done in 15 minutes, no offense, and looks like many of the basic tuts on the net. Although i do realize that you are new to ps i still think you should strive higher.

Ok, I think I just need to make sure that teh sun has no black spots. I don;t know how to specificaly reverse the dark spots only without inverting my entire piece, But I'll try!

take a white air brush ,make a new layer and go over it lightly with low opacity and flow untill you find what you're looking for.
