Diablo.. very good i like that render and the b.g. I have only 1 suggestion: ctrl+alt+shift+e and then on that layer go to gaussian blur and set it somewhere between .1 and .8 and then lower the opacity a bit. ALso on the b.g layer use the blur tool itself and blur out the parts that look too sharp.

You need to calm down the colors, just a bit. or totally remove the grey/blue from the bg.
i think the first ones alot better.
there good but the first one looks to scratched and sharp and the second one looks to blurred and overcontrasted but (spaeking as there both one) it has a good bg, render and coluour scheme but i would go with the text from the first one but i wouldnt say there as good as your current
