This is a great way to create an ultra cool gold or silver texture.
Step 1

Create a new image and set default colors. Render Clouds. Duplicate your cloud layer two times (creating three total layers). Flip the first copy vertical, and the second horizonal. Double click both layers and set the mode to lighten like above.
Step 2

Flatten your image. Select the unsharp mask and use the above settings on your layer. Use the sharpen filter, then press CTRL+F.
Step 3

Go into lighting effects and use the above settings. Change the color to a grey for silver.
