well, i dont like it more cuz of the pic in it, just the over all 'feel' that it gives. of it was of the character in it i woulda said top on cuz he looks more like a ninja style person that sneeks around.
I think if there was some colour in the background of the second I'd enjoy that one more - yet I like the first more.
Plus in the second if you blended the render in with the background that'd improve it in my opinion. :)
id sya the second one but the pixelstrech is a bit simple and the render on both is poorley cut out. so you should try blending them in to the bg to hide some of the the whitespots. on the bg for the second one you should add some colour to the bg and on the pixel strech add some overlays to add more depth
