PS CS2 is cheating on me.

Hokay, so basicly this is kinda hard to explain.
:blink: im gonna give it a try.

this image right here is an image made with photoshop, just filled with the color #ff0000(pure red):

it looks just right. BUT when i am working on/viewing any image in photoshop, it seems like there is less red than there should be

this image is cropped out of a screenshot of photoshop. its the same pic, and photoshop makes it more orange:

It might not seem like a big difference, but it basicly ruins all the work i do in photoshop.
Its been going on for a while. dont know when it started.

I have no idea how to fix it.

Go to that colour swatches thing and tweak around with the settings maybe?

I've had a problem like that before. But for me, when I started a image, and then saved it, it would look different. More darker and higher contrast. Somethng of the sort.

Try Ctrl+Y

It worked for me, but the problem only arose when I got a new monitor.

i almost pretty certain it is the type of colour you have set. the type not colour because screen prints will use a different colour format and also print screens lose quality aswell so thats somthing to bear in mind. hope u get producing your amazing images soon and it works out for you

It could also be due to your monitors color setting. Try this fix as it is easy:

Once you open up a doc in PS, click the VIEW tab at the top. In the drop down menu, put your cursor on the PROOF SETUP tab. In the drop down menu that appears, click the MONITOR RGB selection.

all else fails...reinstall PS, works for me when I get minor (annoying) problems that I don't feel like fixing :)

Ctrl+y is the hotkey for setting to monitor RGB
