looks like a good smudge style bit it looks a little over smudged and the bg looks to simple imo but the second one is better
I quite like the melting or sort of disassembled look you have done with the render. It's quite stylish.
Although I think if there was more detail in the background like Tetsuo said, and if those two grey strips weren't there - I don't fancy those....(never used that word before :P) - it would look better :)
edit: Number two takes my preference - seems to have more definition.
