We need more bands like the old ones: Ones that told stories through song. All I am seeing is recycled lyrics here.

Naw, man if all we had were story songs then u would want "recycled songs", Plus while songs that tell stories are great and all its harded for a listener to relate to the song.

Possibly, but I find a way to relate to every old school song. Perhaps its my 'tragic' life, but I certainly can no problems O.o

I totally understand what you're saying Shamino. It's true that even though the lyrics many bands have written themselves, they are "recycled". So in my thoughts, I was thinking of making more "perspective" lyrics or "stories". But the problem with these "stories" is that they stray off from relation. The best way to use a story in lyrics is probably metaphorically.

And I could put my set of stories into lyrics, but I choose not to, for they aren't the greatest times I've been through.
