i was messing ariund in ps today and came up with this. I know its not the best "dark art" but i didnt use any tuts or any help. What do ya think?

not too bad for a first... you should read some tuts, they help... I'd get rid of the bg & maybe even out the skin tones a little more... The way you darkened the neck in areas ruins shading & makes it appear out of shape... The skin coming down from the mouth doesn't look like its joined to rest of the facial skin... keep at it :)
Nice. For a first. But the thing about photo manips.. is you either do very sybtle changes, making them feighnt, and blend well. Or you do super bold things.. this is kinda in the middle, and doesn't work too well. For a first not bad, try a better / more lit up shot, next time.
