That border is bothering me and the font is kind of hard to read. The bg is ok, and the render is decent.

Yeh , it's all good.. but it's like 3 different styles.
Yoshi - needs to have a different blending mode,
Background - needs to fill up the whole of the background
Border - Try doing a tech border tutorial.
