What are you talking about? The controller is the most innovative part of any of the three new consoles! I agree that the original "boomarang" PS3 controller (before they made it the same as the PS2 one) was good for nothing more than a sex toy, but this controller will change the way we interact with games entirely (for the better). I think the only reason you don't like it is because it is different and not what everyone is used to. I'm sure if you gave it a chance and tried using it for about ten minutes, you would realize that it is a great concept with an amazing design.
And the games? If you can't appreciate classics like Donkey Kong, Mario, Zelda, Metroid Prime, and Starfox, then you must have had quite the deprived childhood.
yeah i dont think you quite understand, one of the key points of the Wii is that it will interactive in a whole new way, much like the eyetoy. the games are made to work with this, they are a whole new genre of game...the new ideas may not be the most in depth atm, thats because its a totally new idea and it will take time to develop. if anthing, if it pays off the machine with the worst specs should be the best because they have gone in their own direction.

I want to pick up a game like CS and play it.
I dont want to jump in the game with some fucking weird controller and 'interact' with mosters in some little kiddy game. How would you move about with a remote and some joystick wannabe?
And i used to play those games when i was a kid, WHEN I WAS A KID. I no longer play games like MArio as i have grown up, well my body has not my head Lawl :P
Well then if your head hasn't grown up, I bet you still like games like Mario then, and just said you didn't like them because you wanted to look cool. :P
Honestly the Wii is tops in my list for the next-gen consoles to buy. The new controller has more potential to revolutionize how games are played than anything else that is out there.

Nintendo is a company that knows what their doing. It's not code name revolution for nothing, they did more than make a next generation console. they tapped into a market that doesnt exist yet. Its the future of gaming.

Ben - This console isn't about "intense competitive gaming" . They made it to explore what the other consoles aren't, can you sword fight with a ps3 controller, or an x-box 360 ? Didn't think so.
I'm DEFINATELY going to buy one. And Vermillion, that controller you posted looks like the original SNES / NES controller. I NEEEED ONE!
