Another shot at a smudge sig....

I'll be frank with you it doesnt looks too good. If you use smudge you should most likely mess with the layer settings, i.e. color dodge or linear dodge, etc.. And don't just smudge once over the entire sigs. Smudge a little bit at a time mess with the settings on them and use dif. brushes. The render isn't blended at all either.

I know.... I'm not so good with smudge....

the render seems unsuitable for a signature, unless you wanted to theme the whole thing in a cartoon-ish style. the bg just looks like a blur too, you could maybe blend some more colours or w/e in there to sharpen it up a bit.
