First one is good. The text should be different. I see you have semi-translucent and plane at an angle. But I would definately suggest adding some real pizzazz? to the text to make it stand out more. The background alone shouldn't hold your sig. However if the background was a design to fit some text right into it it may be different. As for the 2nd sig the brighter colors are appealing to some, however I would suggest sticking with the 1st.
just a few brushes placed onto a canvas, really nothing special.. the text and the font are bad choices and placements.. it's cool how you considered the possibility of putting text to flow with the brushing but in this case it didn't pull off.. and all in all quite boring though.. i like the border..
