I like the colors you used, but I don't like the effects. Looks too plain, needs a little more to it than just a filter or two.
darken your text, that will make it tons better

Ok, so my text layers are normal at 35 opacity, so by darken do you guys just mean to make the opacity higher, or to make it an actual darker colour?
Also, it does have a white 1 pixel border. Should I change the colour of it, or just do away with it all together?
umm, well i depends on what color the text is. i would say darken the text a hair (the actual color) and then put the opacity to, say, 70%. the border, well, we cant see it here on the forums, so i would say take it off (try making it black, just to seee)
Ok, well here's what I got. I did what you said with the text, but I wasn't too fond of the black border. Instead I added a simple selection at the top and the bottom of the sig in black. I'm thinking a pattern on top of the black maybe?
