I used a cartoon/anime reference (why its also kinda simple), so i didnt want to color it, and i also wanted to try to emulate another style (kudos goes to who can guess what art style. hint: famous games). i really like how it turned out (i love the left hand (on the right silly)). it was quite a challenge tho at first, i just couldn't seem to get things to look right (i found out that i needed to just keep working on it, damn instant gratification..). this is pretty much final, but i might tweak a few things.
next project it going to be another anime character (Seras from Hellsing). ive got a great reference (which is starting to feel, eh, cheap...) so i cant wait to take that one on. crits here will probably go into that project

lol I haven't been in this section since 6 months before we got vBulletin :P.
Looks good, I'm a fan of anime :P though I haven't seen that much, at least in my opinion. I don't know where you got that character from though <_< :(.
For things like this though I like them black, your font really doesn't go with this <_< for one it's a vector and your 3D text just doesn't fit also it's tech while your vector isn't in that style.
Now from what I know of vectors :P it's done really well, yes a bit simplistic, and has an outcome of looking to be only one layer, but done well. The hand looks good, little pointy on the ends of the finger tips though. Her pinky seems a bit long compared to the other fingers.
The mouth seems a bit ridged, seems like it needs to be smoothed out.
I do like the gradient of blue across her :) and I think your final outcome is pretty good. Nice work.
its from Castlevania: PoR (upcomming DS game). i was originally going to do both characters, but i didnt like the male (for some reason he is, eh, "americanized". i always loved the over-the-top wacky Japanese guys like Soma and Alucard). Ya, i noticed her pinky also, but it didnt bug me that much. the text was part of a border i did (which i removed), and it isnt in my deviantArt file. i just stuck it here real quick, i probably should take it down. 1 layer? ya, all of it is in one "vector" :)

final fantasy bahh that was easy do more styles, you did this quite well which is why when i saw it i thought "someone needs to explain why there's an ff fan here and i didn't know about it" so yeah i get the kudos!

haha, ya, Kudos goes to you. i really love FF's logos, and that is actually what get me into vectoring. sometimes i want to start inking my own characters and then vectoring them (instead of using renders/stocks).
