I don't the BG matches with the "Halo" style. It's a bit to abstract, where halo is more "tech" and "futuristic. ;]

Try some different BG's with the render and so what you can come up with.

Do you have any tech bg links? It seems that abstracts are the main ones and its hard to find any good tech ones.
