The first one is done quite creatively. Well actually I would have to say both are done creatively but I enjoy the colors of the first one more.
[First] Nice choice of colors, your brushing is also done well. Your render should show up more though. It seems as though you made a layer of grunge direcly on top of your render. I would just erase some aroundyour render so it's visiblity is greater.
I'm not to into your text that gives off a curve fealing, and the patterne or burshes that lie underneath it bother me to. They just don't seem to fit this sig.
Overall on this sig good work, I really enjoy the light source though it might be a bit to bright over the render. But colors and brushing all go well. Just change a few things.
[Second] From what I can tell the render seems vary good, though the color blue or even just the sig is contrasted a bit to much. Most abstract render sigs have a soft clear flow.
Also the colors seem like you originally started out with a black and white image of this and duplicated the layer and made one red then the other blue then erased the blue over the red to get this outcome.
I you should blend the colors together like the render is flowing around the render not just the render being red. I can also see that you have the blue spiralling around it but if you don't want the red to be apart of the flow you can also make the red seem more like an object color. Atm since it's so light it doesn't seem like and object, just energy.
I did play around a little more with it

I agree with the first post - i liked the first one better- it has a sort of clean classiness that the other one lacks. But then look at my sig- what do I know eh?
I prefer the second one i dunno why there both good but the second one is better.
Still looks quite contrasted.
