For anyone who don't know what a montage is, it is several small pictures cut out and then put back together to make a larger picture. 16 cuts in this montage:

color me confused. im not exactly getting the idea behind this (not to be disrespectful). explain please?
A montage uses different images than the source to make the final image. That's the whole point. It looks like you just used the marquee to cut some rectangles and added a stroke and a drop shadow. Nothing creative or spectacular about that.
... i cut out individual pieces from the pic, cut and dragged them to a new document andaligned them up to make a diff pic. if u ever see in stores the T.V.'s that are actually like 8 T.V.s. This is the same thing, just with a picture
ya, but, its the same image your using? seems a hair, eh, pointless
lol i guess... main reason i did it was for the effect. I read it on a tut and my parents are big mustang lovers. just wonderin wat yall thought of it :)
You could do that with black lines and a slight outer glow...

yeah... a montage is using hundreds of small pics to make a giant picture. Not cutting out a picture and putting it back together. Thats just pretty much a puzzle.
E.G where you see thousands of little pictures of peoples face to make a large face or something.
